In one of my recent newsletters, I announced that my partner Ian and I got a puppy!
Her name is Luna (since she looks like a little crescent moon when snuggled up for a sleep) and she is almost 6 months old. We brought her home when she was 4 months old at an adoption event down the road with all the local shelters.
It’s been a long time coming, as I’ve wanted a pup again since my family lost our dog Daisy when I was 17, but somehow it has still hit me like a whirlwind.
Amidst all the sweet elation when Luna runs up to me with her loosy-goosy butt wiggle, the laughter at her clumsy flops around the floor, and the magnificently healing puppy snuggles every night when she gets sleepy, I have also cried - a lot.
